Grass Hopper Point

After a long hike, some needed food and waiting out the rainstorm it was off to grass hopper point to do some 30 foot jumps.  The teenagers were quick to start jumping... That is except my nephew Bryce who took 3 hours to jump.... yes I said 3 hours.  We tried every tactic to get him to jump but finally once it got dark he made the leap.  After he did he was able to go up again and jump right off.  Sadly, my dear sweet husband was trying to beat his heights fear and took the leap as well.  Now you have to realize 100's if not 1000's of people jump this all the time and do not get hurt....  Douglas however likes to change things up.  He took the leap and once we started coming up the water you instantly knew something was wrong.  He apparently hit the bottom of the water and hit rocks.  He was beat up and could hardly walk on the one foot.  I ended up taking him to the doctor to get things checked out.  Nothing was broke just swollen, bruised and scraped.  The next day he got to stay at the swimming pool to relax.  One lady who knew we were having a family reunion told him, "you mean you have to stay here in the sun relaxing and reading a book in the quiet instead of being surrounding by loud kids who need you?"  "You poor thing".  I actually think this day was one of Doug's highlights since he rarely gets time by himself to just relax.
