Nice (Villefranche) Saturday Day 7

We thought we could leave a little later today because supposedly there was not much to see, but boy did we run out of time.  We had to tender to shore since the ship was anchored in the harbor.  However, once on land we headed to the train station and headed to Nice.  Once at Nice we walked around town and then went by the seashore to head to Parc du Chateau AKA castle hill colline du chateau.  We went a head and paid to ride the elevator at the bottom so we wouldn’t have to walk up the big hill/stairs. Once on top photo opportunities were endless from this vantage point. We were able to wander around looking at the waterfall, park and ruins.  We walked down by the Jewish cemeteries on the walk back down to the old town before deciding we needed to start heading back to the train station. Once we realized our time, we rushed back to the train station to discover we missed our train.  Luckily for us there was another one in 40 minutes (just a little crunch since it only left us 10 min to get back on the ship).  We went and grabbed a bite to eat and then got on the train.  Luckily or not surprisingly there were many people on our boat who was also on the same train.  Fortunately we all made it back on the boat.
